American Honda at Sasquatch! Music Fest

The American division of American manufacturer Honda announced it has been selected official eco-partner for the 2010 Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Washington over Memorial Day weekend.

Taking advantage of its presence at the event, Honda will showcase near the Honda Big Foot Solar Stage its Honda Hybrid Zone, an area where those attending will witness the CR-Z sport hybrid coupe, Insight hybrid sedan, and the Civic hybrid sedan.

"We have found that Honda customers are as passionate about the environment as they are great music," Tom Peyton, senior manager of Honda national advertising said. "Honda's 2010 Hybrid Music Festival Events allow our company to merge two worlds our owners care deeply about in a fun and socially responsible way."

The Sasquatch! Music Fest is also the venue of choice for Honda to present an educational program "on the fundamentals of sustainability affecting concertgoers." Bicycles will also be provided as a means of powering a "charging center" for phones, PDAs, cameras and other electronic devices.

The Sasquatch! Music Fest is a three day event which will kick off on May 29th. It will feature an impressive array of bands performing, including My Morning Jacket, Massive Attack, Pavement, Vampire Weekend, MGMT and Public Enemy.

The average attendance rate for the event is 70,000, with the first 100 of this year's crowd to bring their filled-to-capacity cars to receive a spot closer to the venue, with an easier exit route.
