The amazing AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building has crossed the pond in 2013, and it looks like Europe will get to see more cool bike-building as the organizers announce that the 2014 edition will be hosted by the INTERMOT bike show in Cologne, Germany.
The INTERMOT expo will run October 1-5, 2014. However, the AMD website does have a header linking the World Championship with the Big Bike Europe event in Essen, Germany, held 11-13 April, 2014 (pictured below). Or maybe it's only about some missing website updates...

On the other hand, it looks like the BBE show in Essen will also host the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building in 2015, with Cologne and Essen allegedly alternating in organizing of the championship, for an unspecified time.

Rotating the event between the two German bike shows aims to provide better exposure for the custom scene and motorcycle industry, allowing more than the 200,000-250,000 attendants the previous edition saw.

2013 marked the year when the AMD World Championships ended up being hosted by the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the biggest biker rally in the United States.
