Amazing 2013 BMW R1200GS Animated Engine Presentation

We're not diehard fans of the big GS here, but we cannot help admiring the way BMW Motorrad are presenting their craft. With the introduction of water-cooling in the R1200GS series, BMW took a step to meet the customers who, until now, refused to trust the air-cooled touring machines.
However, given the amazing worldwide popularity of the large GS, adding a new and drastic change to the iconic engine really needed to be explained... even to the fans of the old air-oil-cooled bikes.

And since BMW has always been great at making customers love their beasts, 2 and 4 wheels alike, here's a new and awesome animated showcase of the new engine powering the 2013 R1200GS. It may be so, that the era of engine cuts and the like has passed and we get to see them in vintage events and museums, but the digital modeling is even more spectacular.

We'd wish more manufacturers did such presentations: they could mean a dramatic raise in understanding (and finally growing to love) motorcycles.
