What about how far the longest game is able to go? 5,949 moves. Longest chess game ever? I. Nikolic and Arsovic, Belgrade, 1989. It ended in 269 moves and was a draw. OK, one last one: Kirk and Spock have played chess three times on the show Star Trek, with Kirk winning all three games.

According to his description, the pieces were either bolted or welded together and clear coated to protect them from rust. The seats are made of plywood and come with a burned pattern into it in order to get an older looking design that matches the rest.
The hardest part is pointed out by its creator and is related to how the players guess which part are which. Let’s call it a memory exercise worth doing.
