Following last year's first even Alpina Day event, the German manufacturer decided to offer another such experience for its dedicated customers. A while back we told you that they decided it should take place in Salzburg, in August but things changed a bit along the way.
Since the DTM championship debuted in Russia this year, the German manufacturer joined forces with BMW and brought some of its models to the Moscow Raceway and put on a show worthy of remembrance.
The photo gallery below stands as testimony, also showing us what cars were used on the Russian track. Amongst them you'll find the B3 Bi-Turbo, B6, B7 and the brand new XD3, the first ever SUV to exit the Alpina manufacturing lines.
With a 3-liter diesel engine, 350 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, the SUV is hooked up to an 8-speed automatic transmission and reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds, being dangerously close to the X5 M's time of 4.7 seconds.
