BMW specialist Alpina has announced the introduction of the brand new D3 Biturbo. Based on the new BMW 3 Series, the D3 Biturbo comes with 350 HP, 700 Nm of torque and claims to be the world’s fastest diesel production car.
It needs just 4.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour and can reach a top speed of 173 mph, all for £46,950 or £49,950, depending on whether you want you’re next high-performance diesel to be a saloon or an estate.
Motivated by a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that comes with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, the D3 Biturbo is fitted with an array of standard features that includes adaptive M Sport suspension, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable heated sports seats, climate control and several Alpina-branded parts.
“What makes these figures even more remarkable is that the D3 Bi-Turbo is also a luxury car that delivers its world-beating performance alongside uncompromising comfort and refinement,” said Matthew Stripling, sales manager at Alpina Great Britain. “The new six cylinder D3 has a wonderful bespoke feel that touches all the senses to make every journey a pleasure, whether commuting to work or powering through the mountains.”
