The return of the 6 Series in BMW's stable marked more than the revival of a classic model, it was also a great opportunity for Alpina to come back to racing, a part of the motoring world from which it was absent for over 20 years.
Alpina used to race and win a lot of races in the 70s with legendary drivers like Niki Lauda and Hans Stuck and 2009 was the year when they decided to create yet another track monster, the B6 GT3 model.

Based on the E63 6 Series, the new car was a rethought version of the Bavarian Coupe. Using a supercharged 4.4-liter V8 engine, the engineers from Buchloe got 530 HP and 535 lb-ft (725 Nm) of torque out to the track, to carry around less than 3,000 pounds (1,360 kg).

As if that wasn't enough, the car was also aerodynamically enhanced to such an extent that you'd really have to squint to figure out what you're looking at. The B6 GT3 was successful and available for purchase by anyone that had the funds to start a racing team.

The green color of the B6 and it's enhanced shape suggested the name 'The Hulk' and by good reason. 530 HP, 725 Nm (535 lb-ft) of torque and just over 1,300 kg (3,000 lbs) sound like a recipe for monstrous performance...
