BMW is quietly preparing a facelift for its entire 6 Series range, including the Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe models. That means we’ll be seeing a slightly improved face of all those cars next year. The thing is, alongside BMW Alpina also has to think about its products.
The German tuner/manufacturer uses BMW’s cars for their products. Even though they ship with their own VIN numbers and Alpina badges on them, they are still Bimmers with new aero kits, improved engines, revamped interiors and different wheels.

Therefore, along with the new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, Alpina has to release the new B6 Gran Coupe xDrive Biturbo, even though their original model was just launched. In this regard our spy photographers already caught the new model testing on the Nurburgring.

Don’t expect anything big, though. Just in the case of the blue and white roundel-wearing car, this one will also have just a couple of small details changed. The aero kit will basically remain unchanged while the headlights and taillights might receive a slightly different shape.

As for the engines, nothing new is expected. The B6 will still use the 4.4-liter V8 biturbo plant we’ve been seeing up until now, with 540 HP and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. The performance numbers will also be the same, with the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint taking 3.9 seconds and the top speed reaching at 318 km/h (197 mph).
