Until BMW will officially launch the F82 M4, the replacement for the M3 Coupe models, the Alpina B4 BiTurbo is the closest thing you can get.

The model just made its world debut at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show 2013, in the typical Alpina Blue color we’ve been getting used to. The car has a 3-liter biturbo 6-cylinder inline engine that makes 410 HP and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque, numbers dangerously close to the ones of the upcoming M4.

However, unlike the proper M car, this one is based on a stock 435i model and doesn’t have all the fancy chassis work done to it, neither all the weight saving technologies the M division worked hard to integrate into the new model.

Therefore, the unladen weight of the B4 is rated at 1,615 kg (3,560 lbs), almost 200 kg (441 lbs) more than what the M4 is rumored to weigh.

Even so, the Alpina reaches the benchmark speed of 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds, just as fast as the 560 HP M6, and has a top speed of 305 km/h (192 mph).
