This may look like a 911 with a weird body kit, but it's actually the first generation Porsche Cayman coupe custom built by a Middle Eastern company called Royal Customs. The same firm says it spent four months developing the body kit for the car and that it brings a regular coupe into supercar territory.
Everything in Dubai is a little weird and over the top, from the Burj Khalifa hotel to the Lykan Hypercar. Heck, they even copied a map of the world and turned it into an artificial island archipelago. So this Porsche fits right in.
The only problem is that there's a lot of controversy surrounding this project. Apparently, the design was actually stolen from German firm Alpha-N Performance GmbH. But even if it is a copycat, this rare crocodile species is something to behold.
It boasts a widebody kit made from carbon fiber, huge air vents, a large rear wing and headlights and double seven-spoke alloys from the current Porsche 911. From the back, it almost looks like an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Quad exhaust tips produce a loud sound, but they almost seem small in comparison to that diffuser and the twin-layered wing.
The tuner hasn’t revealed any other details on the Alpha One, but it is clear that the package will make the Porsche Cayman much faster. Apparently, up to 800 horsepower can be extracted from the flat-6 engine using turbo technology, but we've never actually seen the concept on a dyno. In fact, of the 3 examples Royal Customs said they would build, this is the only one we've ever seen.
