A video titled "Velvet Porsche Cayenne Roadster!" that just popped up in our video feed made us take a second and third look. Surprisingly, it really does show what the title describes.
The clip was filmed in low lighting, but we think it's pretty clear that this thing is a first-generation Porsche Cayenne that's been chopped into a type of roadster… pickup thing.
But that's not even the weird part. The whole thing has been covered in a sort of brown rub and its emblem has been changed to "ALPACAR".
Not surprisingly, no tuning company on the whole internet has claimed this abomination.
The owner, who's most likely from Britain, has a sense of humor, since he chose "S60 POO" for the license plate. He also strapped a large fire extinguisher in the cabin, probably knowing that people will try and set it on fire or that God may strike this monstrosity with lightning.
Britain is also the home of a velvet-wrapped Ferrari and a taxi covered in fake leopard fur, but weird things happen in Cannes as well, where this video was likely filmed.
For example, a Bentley GTC was covered in flowers after a crash in June last year, while in August, a bunch of valets tried to stuff two large bags into a Porsche 918 Spyder… and failed. Cannes was also the place where we saw the first Huracan being towed away.
