Almost Anyone Can Now Own a Ford Mustang or F-150 Raptor. LEGO Sets, of Course

As Joe Hinrichs, Ford president, The Americas, stated, “The LEGO Group is one of the world’s top toy companies, and is loved by children and adults around the globe. Many of us grew up playing with LEGO, so this is a dream project for all of us-including our engineers.

The two sets are coming with unique accessories, as the 185-piece Mustang kit includes a time board and a race driver, and the F-150 Raptor set includes a well-equipped garage, trailer, a drag racing Christmas tree and Model A hotrod, plus a crew of Ford workers, for the race day in your living room to be complete.

The Denmark-based company’s team worked very closely with Ford’s licensing and design teams to ensure that the models are similar to their bigger brothers in every detail.

Jill Wilfert, vice president, licensing and entertainment at the LEGO Group, stated “We are excited about the new LEGO Speed Champions sets based on iconic Ford vehicles. Each LEGO Ford car tells a story and has infinite play possibilities. With these new sets, kids can play out their ultimate car fantasies. They are able to role play and become the LEGO mini-figure, stepping into the greatest cars on earth.

The sets will be available for purchase starting March 1, 2016, in LEGO stores and Toys R’ US nationwide. The suggested retail price for the Mustang is $14,99, while the F-150 Raptor can be bought for $49,99.

Now that the American carmaker has just launched the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor SuperCrew Version, also at Detroit, maybe a LEGO set of this bad-ass truck is next.
