Almost 20 Percent of Switzerland’s LaFerraris in One Picture

In case anybody asks you which European country has the most severe driving laws, go with Switzerland - you can’t be too far from the truth. However, this doesn’t stop car aficionados based in neutral land from converting their renowned wealth into four-wheeled creations.

Let’s take the LaFerrari, for instance - at least one of the images in the gallery below shows a Prancing Horse dealership in Switzerland that gathers up to nine units of Maranello’s halo car.

We’re talking about the selfie pic - yes, one youngster has managed to pull what might just become the car selfie of the year. While you can see no less than eight LaFerraris in various shades of Red (we see at least Rosso Fuoco and Rosso Corsa), the guy who took the photo says there’s a ninth car. He explains this is dressed in Black and finds itself behind that Yellow 488 GTB.

Time to talk numbers then

Rumor has it Switzerland has received a little over 50 LaF allocations, which means this photo contains almost 20 percent of the country’s hybrid Ferrari population. With only 499 units of the 963 PS (950 hp) hybrid set to roll out the Maranello factory gate, this is quite an achievement. We'll remind you that while all of these were sold out when the LaFerrari made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2013, a few have already shown up for (re)sale.

This set of images seems to come at just the right time - truth be told, we were starting to get tired of the now-classic world supercar capitals, such as Monaco, London and Dubai. Seeing such an exotic line-up coming from Switzerland brings a breath of fresh air and we’re not referring to the country’s mountainous landscape.

Sure, seeing so many LaFerraris only makes us come up with more questions. For instance, we’re curious how many of those who own the machines have also gone for the FXX K racecar.
