The current generation Lexus LS, codenamed XF40, has been around for about six years, receiving only one update throughout its life cycle, in 2009. Now though, Lexus have announced that they will be revealing an all-new LS, later this month. They will definitely be trying to capture a new audience with this new car, as the current and soon-to-be-dead car was never a driver’s first choice.
Rumors have been circulating that the luxury Japanese manufacturer also has plans to make a very sporty version of the LS, if this TGM test mule is anything to go by. It has a simply colossal power output of 650 hp, which should enable it to crack 200 mph (320 km/h) as well as a sub 4.5-second 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) time. If Lexus do make this, then this may prompt BMW to make an M7 - a subject they have avoided talking about for many years now.

The car will be revealed at an event set to take place on July 30th, on the West Coast of the US, in San Francisco, before a probable public debut at the Moscow motor show, later in August. Despite not having too many details on the subject, we suspect that the current car’s bland styling (which had a fan base all of its own - strangely) will be replaced by something similar to the GS, ES and CT.
