All-new Honda CB500 Bikes Spotted

After the initial rumors about Honda secretly preparing a new 500cc bike in the sport class and the confirmation of its existence thanks to a leaked photo, we're so happy to see that the rumors were not only true, but highly incomplete: not one, but three new bikes saw the light of the autumn day.

The three bikes were photographed in the Italian city of Sulmona, and they looks really nice, at least in these pictures. It's now sure that the new Hondas will be present at the EICMA show next month.

Here's the new 500cc range, with the CBR500 as the oldest “rumor”. The bike sports pretty much the same design as the CBR1000RR, but scaled to its half engine size. Clean aggressive lines but this baby is no track beast, but a rather sporty street bike in the middle-class.

Its naked sibling, the CB500 looks the same, but has dropped the sporty fairing. This naked model will surely sell big in Europe as European riders really love this kind of bikes for both fast-paced occasional racing around the city and commuting through the busy traffic.

The all-new surprise is the CB500X, a smaller version of the already famous NC700X, mimicking its design down to minute details, front end and all. If the bike's performance is consistent with its look, we might be looking at the next Honda hit.

All three new bikes sport the same construction: one frame, one engine, one seat, tail and so on, with minor aesthetic modifications. A truly smart move from Honda, we cant wait to see the sales figures.
