Ford's American customers and fans have been enjoying the Aston Martin grille of the Escape since 2012. Finally, after two long years of waiting, the European version is ready as well and we couldn't be more excited with the way the all-new Mondeo looks.
The Mondeo was, for a number of years, a benchmark of the large sedan segment in Europe. But due to the economic situation and problems with factory overcapacity, Ford hasn't been able to launch a replacement. Now, on the verge of its debut at the Paris Motor Show, we're finally ready to show you what the 2015 model looks like in motion.

The are many reasons to look forward to its launch, but for us, the really big one a diesel engine. The same Ford engineers that gave us the 1-liter EcoBoost and the new roster of 1.5-liter mills in the Focus have designed their first twin-turbo 2.0 diesel. It makes 210 horsepower and is sure to get you anywhere in a hurry.

There will also be a small 1.6-liter diesel with emissions of as little as 94 grams per kilometer. The petrol range s will include the latest 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter EcoBoost mills.

Something important you'll need to know about the Mondeo sedan is that it's not actually a sedan. Unlike its US counterpart, the European model has a liftback boot, like the Skoda Octavia. This makes getting luggage into the boot a lot easier. There will also be an estate model and the one or two hybrids imported from US factories as sedans.

Interior highlight include inflatable airbag seatbelts and a de-cluttered dashboard featuring an 8-inch touchscreen.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
