Ford has announced that the all-new Ford Edge will be built at tis Oakville Assembly plant near Toronto, Canada, before being exported to more than 60 countries.
Last September, Ford announced a C$700 million investment at The Oakville plant, which manufactures the Ford Flex, Lincoln MKX and Lincoln MKT. The funding helped expand the facility’s production capability and preserved more than 2,800 jobs.
The 2015 Ford Edge was introduced as an almost production-ready concept vehicle at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Ford has yet to say when production of the next-gen Edge will commence.
