If you're wondering why somebody would need a reason to take a Porsche 911 GT2 RS down the modding path, you're not using the correct perspective and that's because the right way to explain the situation would be to say there are plenty of reasons for leaving such a Rennsport Neunelfer untouched.
We're dealing with what is basically a Turbo (with a manual) that packs extra power, less weight and has lost is all-wheel-drive, while Zuffenhaiusen only built 500 of these 997-generation range-toppers.

Well, none of the assets mentioned above has stopped the owner of the GT2 RS in the video below from writing "one-off" all over his machine.

Packing a full carbon body, this is the kind of machine that can make the 3,050 pound (1,383 kg) factory GT2 RS look like less than the featherweight it is.

Sticking to the pure driving principles behind the original, this custom Porsche 911 has kept its natural aspiration. And while German tuner TechArt offers a GT2 RS program that, among others, brings the power from 620 to 720 horses, the car we have here only featured a part of the goodies included in that package, such as the exhaust. As a result, the driver now gets to play with north of 650 hp.

When talking about this level of tech refinement, your financial advisor will never be happy with the story - for one thing, the carbon body alone cost over $120,000.

Given the sheer sharpness such a melange can obviously deliver, treating this car like a garage queen would've been nothing short of a sin. Fortunately, the one-off gets to stretch its mechanical legs on the track.

The video below shows the carbon diet GT2 RS doing its thing on the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands, with the beast having taken part in last weekend's Supercar SunDay, which was one of the hottest high-octane events we've seen in quite a while.
