Feel good about your Ducati Panigale? How about we ruin that feeling by showing you the all-new full-carbon trim 1199 Panigale S by Arete Americana? Well, we were kidding about making you feel bad, but this Arete creation is just too hot to keep if from sight.
For some reason, motorcycles with full-carbon fiber fairings look even more powerful, menacing and, if you want, even faster. This material is used by MotoGP teams, allowing the fairings of their motorcycles to be exceptionally strong while keeping weight under strict control.

However, we just don't get to see too much carbon exposed on these bikes, unless we're at a track for pre-season testing. Once the championship kick-off is getting really near, these machines don their team's official livery and get sponsor decals until they become effortlessly recognizable from the grandstands.

Well, Arete Americana decided to build quite the opposite. While the dual headlights with their specific shape in combination with the Ducati red color make a 1199 Panigale S rather easy to spot, dropping the color and replacing it with the sober shine of carbon takes things to another level.

An aluminium tank and OZ Racing rims

Arete went just about the right length with adding carbon parts to this Panigale. That is, in case you were expecting carbon fiber wheels, carbon covers for the engine cases or a matching exhaust, you'll be disappointed maybe.

Arete Americana went for OZ RAcing rims instead of the BST some were maybe waiting for. The Termignoni silencer is untouched, and so is the engine. In a way, we sort of like this choice, too, because the matte texture of the bare aluminium and magnesium creates a neat contrast with the carbon layer.

Likewise, the choice of a clean, aluminium fuel tank stresses out the elegance of the fairing. The seat was also trimmed in a material whose texture imitates carbon fiber, and comes with a matching rear seat cover. For track days, the mirrors can be taken off and CNC machined aluminium caps can be installed, while all the heat shields are also in carbon, all around the bike.

No price was mentioned for such a transformation, but you can always drop Arete Americana a line and ask for more details.
