It seems Ford's marketing gurus haven't learned their lesson yet. After consumers have complained they weren't getting anywhere near the kind the advertised 47 mpg.
Those two numbers are crucial for the minivan's marketing success, as they make it more efficient than the equivalent Toyota Prius V, but even we received many complaints emails from Ford buyers.

Still, Ford has continued to use the superior claimed mileage to promote the C-MAX as a much better car than the Prius rival. Fortunately for them, the commercial is actually kind of funny.

Copping Hollywood's cinema techniques Ford's ad looks like an official trailer for an alien invasion movie. But instead of trying to take over the world, the little green men only want the best hybrid on the planet which is of course the Ford C-MAX.
