UPDATE: Alfa Romeo Tonale Leaked with Interior, Is a Looker

This year's Geneva Motor Show brought us the anticipated Alfa Romeo Tonale, albeit with the March venue seeing the compact crossover being presented as a concept. However, now that the vehicle is expected to debut in showroom form within the next six months, a series of images that appear to portray the newcomer has leaked online.

The photos we have here appear to portray the Alfa Romeo Tonale in pre-production form. Of course, the images, which come from CocheSpias via Instagram (you can check out three pics in the post below), need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Regardless, the vehicle we have here is pleasingly close to the concept car in terms of the looks, with certain features having obviously been adapted for production. For instance, the headlights aren't quite as aggressive as those of the show car, since these needed to be thicker for the road-going model.

However, you mustn't let the wide-angle approach of these images trick you, since it looks like this slightly distorts the way in which we can perceive the vehicle - you can find the photos of the concept in the gallery above (the red one), for an easy comparo.

Underneath the Alfa-beautiful skin, we'll find the compact platform underpinning models such as the Jeep Compass. Then again, given the badge, we expect the chassis to have been given a bespoke setup aimed at providing an engaging driving experience.

The engine range of the upcoming model should include the 1.3 turbo and thr 1/6 Multi Air II turbo gas engines, while it's still not clear if a diesel will be available, even when talking about the European markets where such motors sell well.

The rumor mill talks about a hybrid setup slotted above the said engine chouces, with this mixing a front axle-linked internal combustion engine and an electric motor powering the rear wheels.

Given the growing appetite for crossovers and the more affordable nature of the Tonale (compared to the Stelvio), the newcomer is expected to become Alfa's best-seller.

Speaking of the Stelvio, this and the Giulia sedan are in for a facelift and the mid-cycle revamp could arrive as soon as next month's Los Angeles Auto Show.

Update:As you'll notice in the second Instagram post below, it looks like the interior of the Alfa Romeo Tonale has leaked too. Compared to that dashboard of the Stelvio, the most important changes revolve around the fully digital instrument cluster and the infotainment screen, with the latter now being a floating unit that gives the upper dash a more modern look.
