Alfa Romeo has announced a new birthday party for its centenary, in the form of a huge rally for owners and enthusiasts, which will welcome Alfas from all around the world.
The event, which will be organized by the Italian Alfa Romeo Register (RIAR), will take place on the 26th and 27th of June in the brand’s home town, Milan and is expected to attract over 3,000 participants.
The “Alfarians” will parade through the center of Milan on the afternoon of June 26. The rally will also see a statue inspired by the Alfa Romeo 1900 Disco Volante being unveiled. This has been designed by the Centro Stile Alfa Romeo with the collaboration of artist Agostino Bonalumi. The day will be ended in style, with a premium dinner and a live music show.
On June 27, the crews will have a record attempt for breakfast, as they will form a very long line of Alfa Romeos, all wearing the “Biscione” emblem on their roof. The parade will drive through downtown Milan, with the whole “stunt” being filmed from a helicopter.
In addition to that, Alfa Romeo’s historic secrets will be revealed as part of the event: MAC Group, the Fiat Group’s heritage projects partner, will be organizing guided tours of the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese.
If you and your Alfa want to be part of the 48 hour celebration, you can register for the event on-line here. Once the registration process is complete Alfa Romeo will send you a “Centenary Kit”. Happy Alfaring!
