This would have been a great occasion for the introduction of the Alfa Romeo Mito GTA but it looks like we’ll have to wait some more for that miracle to happen. Instead the Italian group has done the next best thing: created a limited edition of 100 Mitos especially for the aforementioned purpose.
Although these Mitos are top white collar cars, they actually wear a blue collar: The bespoke Mitos come dressed in the Maserati Ocean Blue color. The cars also feature a rear spoiler and a sporty rear bumper.
The Mitos pack some serious power for their size, as they are equipped with the most powerful engine available at the moment, the turbocharged petrol 1.4 liter Multiair petrol unit which develops 170 HP. They also have chevrons to indicate this - a “Limited Edition” plate is placed on each car’s air conditioning vents and the aluminum kick plates for all 100 units bare the words “ Alfa Romeo for Maserati”.
To handle the horses through the twisty European roads, the cars have been gifted with Dynamic electronic auto adaptive suspension. This connects the car to a set of 18 inch alloy wheels.
The elitist fleet also comes with a generous bouquet of optional equipment: Aluminum pedals, Frau leather seats, dual zone climate control, multifunctional leather trimmed steering wheel, a Navigation system which covers the entire Europe, bi-xenon headlights and bluetooth & USB connectivity for the audio system.
This is the first cross-brand action after Harald Wester was appointed as head of Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Abarth. We can only be pleased with the fact that more hot hatches will be found on the roads but for our hunger of Alfa Romeo Mito this is just a microscopic snack.
