Only a little is known about the upcoming Alfa Romeo Milano except for the fact that it will be one of the models that will arrive in the United States through the Fiat - Chrysler alliance. But here are the first somewhat official photos with the car - all of them were captured straight in the factory with the help of a mobile phone and published online via a Facebook account.

While we're not sure these pictures are indeed a leakage or were rolled off online at the request of Alfa Romeo - in a move to stir up interest of the car before the official unveiling - the car shares the same design cues we've seen in many Alfas and even makes use of some other features available in some current models.

For example, it will feature hidden rear door handles, incorporated in the C-pillars, just like the model it is going to replace, the 147 hatchback.

The "leaked" photos also give us a glimpse into how the interior of the cars will look like, with two sporty gauges and a center console similar to the ones seen on other models among the things that greet the driver when stepping in.

As for the engines, there are only rumors about the units to power the Milano but according to some media reports, the future Alfa will boast both diesel and gasoline engines, obviously particularly focused on providing enough power without neglecting the environment or fuel efficiency. The car is likely to compete with BMW 1 Series but an official release date is yet to be announced - it is likely to arrive in late 2009 or early 2010.
