No, this is not a mule for the next Alfa Romeo or Jeep crossover, it’s the actual Alfa Romeo Giulietta, testing its heart out in China. Both Fiat and Chrysler are placing increasing emphasis on this Market and some reports suggested they would even build Jeeps there for the export, not just for the domestic market.
The Giulietta market the return of Alfa Romeo to the compact segment. It was launched at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show and comes to replace the 147 series.

The hatch is a hard car to sell globally, especially since its priced to compete with cars like the Volvo C30 or the Audi A3. It’s not cheap, to put it delicately. Engines on offer in Europe range from the 120 PS 1.4-liter T-jet to the 2-liter diesel with 170 PS and the 1.8-liter with 235 PS in the Quadrifoglio Verde. Transmission options include both manuals and the TCT dual-clutch automatic this test car seems to have.
