Alfa Romeo Giulia Pickup Truck Rendering Is So Cute, but Wrong

When our eyes first landed on the Alfa Romeo Giulia pickup truck rendering above, we instantly went searching for a set of blue collar. Yes, we find such a proposal extremely appealing.
The image, which comes from Rain Prisk Designs, shows what can easily be described as a Ute, so the appeal for such an Alfa would spread across the world.

As for the engineering base for such a vehicle, we’ll remind you the Giulia’s platform will be used for an Alfa Romeo crossover, one that is set to make its debut next year. Turning the entire thing into a bed-gifted vehicle wouldn’t be too difficult.

Then again, we mustn’t get ahead of ourselves here. Especially not when Fiat Chrysler is currently prolonging the life cycle of its vehicles in order to work its way around financial matters.

While a two-seater Giulia with a serious load capacity will never become a reality, the vibe we get thanks to the rendering only comes to mirror the hype generated by the normal Giulia, if we may call it that.

For the love of God, the Giulia, in its range-topping Quadrifoglio trim, is currently the fastest rear-wheel-drive sedan on the Nurburgring. With a time of 7:39, the Alfa puts its 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 to good use.

With 510 hp and 442 lb-ft (600 Nm), the Giulia isn’t the most powerful four-door out there, but it’s lightweight and packed with Ferrari engineering. Speaking of the Prancing Horse, a simple comparison reveals Alfa Romeo’s sedan is as fast as a 430 Scuderia, a spiced-up Ferrari from two generations ago.

And with the Giulia being Alfa Romeo’s weapon for reconquering the US market starting next year, it’s no wonder the Internet comes up with truck renderings. After all, we wouldn't mind using such a workshorse on a daily basis.
