With its very limited range of models, Alfa Romeo is definitely keen to still make a mark at the Paris Motor Show, this year. They will host show off two special editions of the MiTo, to try to get some attention and push back the relentless onslaught of Citroen’s DS3 and the MINI.
The first of the two special editions is called the MiTo SBK Limited Edition, which is only available with the most powerful engine in the range - the 170 hp 1.4-liter unit which is also used in the ‘warm’ version of the Giulietta. It features two special paint finishes (black or red), which can be specified with contrasting roof and mirror covers.

It also gets some snazzy 18-inch rims, as well as an ‘aero package’. The interior also gets a makeover with specially-branded details, red stitching on the leather and, of course, a numbered plaque on the dash - only 200 will be made. The other special edition is called the Superbike Special Series is more of a trim level, available on all but the entry level 1.4-liter naturally-aspirated unit.

It gets only some of the modifications given to the more exclusive variant, and only gets 16-inch rims. It will also get interior badging, and a ‘carbon look’ dashboard. Customers can also specify special stickers, side skirts, rear bumper, as well as 17- or 18-inch rims with optional red brake calipers.

autoevolution will be attending the Paris Motor Show 2012, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
