Alfa Romeo Brera "Italia Independent" Released

Alfa Romeo has just unveiled a new limited edition, the Brera “Italia Independent”, which will initially go on sale in Europe and then in Japan and Australia. Specifically, Italy will be the first country to get the special edition model in September, with prices to start at 32,200 euro for the 2.2 JTS Selespeed version.

The car is the result of a joint venture between Alfa Romeo and Italia Independent, so it comes with unique detailing provided by the latter. For example, interiors have been customized with carbon fiber inserts on both the dashboard and the steering wheel – which is now covered in black leather with red top stitching, as well as with brushed aluminum plates. The “Italia Independent” logo has been fitted on the front seat head restraints. Poltrona Frau black leather upholstery with red top-stitching is available as an option.

As for the exterior, the car comes with Titanium opaque paint over the entire body, a first when it comes to standard-production cars, as Alfa said in a release. Additionally, it boasts 18-inch alloy wheels and several aluminum made parts, including the fuel cap, red-painted brake calipers and new “Italia Independent” logo on the car’s rear.

Power comes from the same engines as on the stock models, 185 HP 2.2 JTS or 260 HP 3.2 V6, mated to 6-speed transmissions that could be either manual, Selespeed or automatic Q-Tronic. The 3.2-liter version can also be equipped with Q4 four-wheel drive.

Standard features on the special edition include VDC with 7 airbags, automatic dual zone climate control system, CD/MP3, cruise control and fog lights. Customers can personalise their car with the numerous options available, including xenon headlights, parking sensors, Bose Hi-Fi system, Blue&Me, Blue&Me Nav and the new Instant Nav navigation system with a map of Europe on a SD card and compatibility with Blue&Me.
