For the MY 2016 4C and 4C Spider, Alfa Romeo now offers an optional carbon fiber trim package, along with a carbon fiber cover for the convertible's roll bar. The Carbon Fiber package brings the lightweight material on the shift paddles, instrument panel, vent surrounds and instrument cluster surround. All of the elements mentioned above are made from the same material used on the car's monocoque chassis.

The optional equipment list also features new premium leather for the interior in the Tobacco and Black combination, now available with Tobacco accent stitching.

Customers can also order the optional Track Package, that includes high-performance shock absorbers, larger front and rear sway bars, Pirelli P-Zero tires, and other performance-enhancing features.

The Italian company also offers an Akrapovic exhaust system with a dual operation mode. The titanium exhaust system features an electronically controlled valve that allows a quieter operation when desired and a sporty sound when the DNA switch is put in the more performance-oriented modes. The system also features carbon exhaust tips.

Furthermore, the 4C Coupe borrows some features from the Spider version, like the Alpine head unit. The new sound unit brings improved audio quality, advanced connectivity options, and more user-friendliness.

The 4C Coupe also features a new standard lockable console and leather storage compartment. Meanwhile, the 4C Spider gets a new standard alarm system. Both versions of the 4C get new premium speakers in standard trim.

Alfa Romeo has chosen not to change the all-aluminum turbocharged gasoline direct-injected unit on the 4C. The engine is paired to the same Alfa TCT twin-clutch transmission and allows for a 0-60 MPH time of 4.1 seconds. The Italian mid-engine car is capable of a top speed of 160 MPH and a lateral acceleration of 1.1 g.

The MY 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C and 4C Spider are available at US and Canada-based dealerships.
