Actor Alec Baldwin insists that his raging days are over and that the only reason he’s still in the media for his temper outbursts is because the media is out to tarnish his reputation. Yet it took losing a parking spot to send him into a fury.
Earlier this month, Baldwin was arrested after an altercation over a parking spot in New York, Manhattan. The verbal dispute became violent and the actor was accused of punching the man who allegedly stole the spot one of Alec’s friends was saving for him.

Reports say that Baldwin admitted to the police that he had pushed the guy, saying, “The guy’s an a**hole. He stole my spot. I pushed him.” However, both to the police and on social media, he denied ever punching him and stressed that surveillance footage from nearby cameras would set the record straight. His victim insists he was struck with a fist, therefore punched.

Some hours ago, Baldwin was officially charged in the incident, TMZ reports. He did not enter a plea and he is due back in court tomorrow.

“Alec was just officially charged with one count of attempted assault in the third degree and one count of harassment in the second degree. The assault charge is a misdemeanor and the harassment charge is a violation. He did not enter a plea, and his defense said they turned over video evidence to the DA's office showing Alec never punched the other man,” the report notes.

Parking in NYC is a complicated matter, as is in every other major city across the globe. However, what infuriated Baldwin to the point of becoming physically aggressive was the fact that this happened near his apartment building.

In other words, not only was Baldwin feeling entitled to the spot because his friend was saving it for him, but also because he lived nearby.
