Akrapovic announces the latest addition to the aftermarket exhausts roster dedicated to the all-new 2015 model year Yamaha YZF-R1. The Evolution Line Kit is a special treat dedicated to both amateur and professional racers and teams.
The Evolution Line Kit delivers higher performance that has been tested on real race tracks and is now offered to a larger audience. The new exhaust system is intended for use with existing Yamaha Racing Kit components for both track enthusiasts and racers.
Those who are thinking about going all the way in the exhaust tuning process will appreciate the Evolution Line Kit. Installing it on an R1 adds increased power across the entire rev range, higher torque, and improved throttle response for more precise acceleration in any section of the circuit.
The Evolution Line Kit is crafted from high-grade titanium and is therefore 60% lighter than the stock exhaust of the R1. The new Akrapovic exhaust system shaves off 5.8 kg (12.8 lb) from the bike.
And because all Akrapovic exhausts also look sharp, the R1 Evolution Line Kit got a specially-designed carbon fiber heat shield that integrates marvelously with the lines of the bike.
