Akrapovic shows the very first titanium incarnation of the (r)evolutionary slip-on exhaust silencer introduced around this time last year at Intermot and EICMA. The initial silencer was crafted from carbon fiber and boasted an entirely new aesthetical approach backed by high-end technological solutions cleverly implemented.
The name of the silencer stands for revolutionary evolution and represents an upgrade for the hexagonal design of the base model. Developed with a new approach to optimization, the "alien-looks" exhaust delivers the best use of internal space, according to Akrapovic.
The Slovenian manufacturer chose the Ducati Multistrada as the first bike for which the new exhaust system was manufactured. However, we can expect that Akrapovic will extend the offer to more bikes.
Akrapovic's silencer is crafted from high-grade titanium and comes with a hand-crafted carbon-fiber heat shield and end-cap. An optional matching titanium header is available to further reduce the weight of the exhaust system and increase the bike's performance.
Aside from the performance increase, the new Akrapovic silencer also comes with specially-engineered ports that enhance the tonal presence of the Multistrada. Akrapovic exhausts are well-known for their characteristic audio signature that transforms any bike, including the smaller ones, into a head-turning apparition on the street.
No word on the price, but it looks like authorized Akrapovic dealers will be offering this exhaust system quite soon.

Optional titanium headers for the best aftermarket performance increase
The new exhaust delivers 1.2 extra horsepower at 8,650 rpm, and 1.2 extra Nm (0.9 lb-ft) at 6,900 revs. This allows the Multistrada to reach 138.3 hp at 9600 rpm and 114.3 N (84.3 lb-ft) at 7900 rpm. No weight figures were mentioned, but the all-titanium construction is certainly much lighter than the stock Ducati exhaust.Akrapovic's silencer is crafted from high-grade titanium and comes with a hand-crafted carbon-fiber heat shield and end-cap.
