Victory Motorcycles announces that all the bikes in the cruiser category can be upgraded with high-performance Akrapovic exhausts. Victory has been working closely with the Slovenian exhaust manufacturer, and this is not the first time these bikes can be ordered with Akra silencers as an ex-works option.
Right about this time last year, Victory were proudly announcing that their bikes with Akrapovic silencers would be available at Germany's main motorcycle show, the Intermot.
No mention was made as to whether we get to see these bikes at EICMA this November, but we believe that we'll at least have a chance to see the can showcased by Akrapovic at least, who have been always treating the visitors well at the Milan show.
The cans are a direct replacement for the standard ones and no modification is required on the bikes, so going back stock for whatever reason is possible. This also means that those who already got some of these new bikes will be able to upgrade them quite easily. The exhausts will be available in matte black and chrome.
Adding the mojo of Akrapovic's or Remus' badges to Indian or Victory bikes can prove to be a very lucrative thing because they are known better in markets outside the US than...
The stake is obviously, getting a bigger slice in the cruiser market and flying the banner high in the battle with Harley-Davidson. How well will this strategy work in a segment where the customers' conservativeness seems to be one of the highly-esteemed characteristics remains to be seen, anyway.

Customers will be able to order Akrapovic-powered cruisers from Victory dealers from all over the world, as the new cans are destined to be fitted on international models, too.
