Aftermarket Zoom-Zoom Displayed at SEMA

Two aftermarket Mazda 6 models will be displayed at the SEMA show held in Las Vegas, Mazda announced in a press statement published today. The upgraded cars include both interior and exterior upgrades with enhanced engine performance exclusively brought by tuning companies.

The first model, codenamed Troy Lee Mazda 6, comes with custom paint designed by Troy Lee Designs, plus paint material provided by PPG and body upgrades signed by Funktion USA. Beside these exterior enhancements, this customized model includes 18-inch Momo Strike wheels, Hoosler tires and window tinting by A-1 Tinting combined with Eibach Springs suspension, 6-piston brake kit by Wilwood Engineering and custom brake fabrication by JD Performance.

On the other hand, David Green's customized model, dubbed Green Energy, is mostly based on exterior upgrades, with front and rear enhanced spoilers and several styling parts provided by DG Motorsports. However, it also includes 19-inch Volk Rays wheels and high-performance Yokohama tires. “The Green Energy is an elegant vehicle that is sure to get noticed on the road,” Mazda said in a press statement.

Obviously, these two cars are only one-unit concepts, so there's no chance of seeing one of these on the streets. However, you can still purchase one of the new 2009 Mazda 6 models featuring several new parts, including enhanced engine, interior and exterior.

“The 2009 MAZDA6 is all new, and built specifically for the North American market. Lessons learned from the first MAZDA6 and Mazda’s newer successful vehicles—especially the Mazda CX-7 and award-winning CX-9—encouraged a clean-sheet approach to building the best mid-size sports sedan the US market has ever experienced,” Mazda described the new model.
