Aerostich just added the new AD-1 riding pants to its safety gear lineup for 2017. The new garment is waterproof and can be used in all-weather conditions while providing a classic cut to fit any bike model you have.
The AD-1 feature a classic jeans-cut fit, having the waist at about the same location as the belt-line of a standard denim pair. There are also full-length separating side zippers to help the pants go on and off fast, while inner and outer weather flaps help keep the rain and wind out.

All-season comfort and adjustability are provided by dual waistband side-snaps, while the zippered front fly comes with a sealed inner gusset to improve water resistance.

The pants are offered in regular and light configurations, with the regular HT600D Nylon using a strong and abrasion resistant three-layer Gore-Tex fabric. The lighter pair uses an HT200D Nylon Gore-Tex layer, which is about two-thirds as abrasion resistant as the regular AD-1 and is best suited for urban rides and short commuting.

Protection wise, the pants come with removable, custom-positionable oversize TF3 knee armor and several types of hip pads, which are offered as optional equipment and sold separately.

Other convenience features include large Scotchlight reflective ankle/calf adjustment tabs for better visibility, loop cover flaps for both main pockets as well as a cavernous vertical-zippered cargo pocket on the tip right thigh and a horizontally flapped cargo pocket at the top left thigh. Oh, and Aerostitch is also pitching in a handy Money Belt for each pair you buy, that will perfectly match the style and colors of the pants.

The AD-1 regular and light versions are available in even waist sizes between 30 to 46, in both regular and long lengths. Color wise, you can have your pair in Black, Grey or Tan. More details and size charts available on Aerostitch’s official website.
