AD Koncept Creates LCR Playboy Honda Fireblade Replica

French Custom Paint shop AD Koncept has just released the LCR Playboy Honda MotoGP replica, based on the Honda Fireblade model. The modifications brought to the original model were not limited at applying a new paint only, but performance upgrades worth £15,000 ($24,900) were also made.

The bodywork consists in adding a genuine Honda seat cowl, carbon tank infill panels and a carbon tail that replaces the standard number plate hanger. The custom Playboy paint scheme was then applied, in black and white colors of Randy De Puniet’s Honda RC212V. The overall look is completed by matching wheels painted in white and a smoked double bubble screen.

Moving to the body parts upgrades, AD Koncept via MCN says that the forks and rear shock absorber were replaced with Ohlins parts for better ride and greater adjustability, while the complete front brake system has been replaced with a set of Brembo monobloc radial-mount calipers, discs and a radial-pump master cylinder.

The exhaust has also been changed with an aftermarket Leo Vince titanium system, therefore improving the performances and offering the rider the sound of a true MotoGP racing machine. Italian motorcycle accessories manufacturer Rizoma is responsible for the bike’s aluminium brake levers and bar-end mounted lever protectors, and for rearsets and blanking plates for the mirror mounts as well.

The 2009 Honda CBR 1000 RR Fireblade production model is also available in the very popular Repsol replica-racer paint scheme. The 1000cc Fireblade was, in fact, the bike that was handed to Schumacher to test drive on the Cartagena race track, which ended with a crash at over 135 mph.
