Honda’s Acura division is preparing another technological showcase for this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show. It’s not an NSX Concept like last year, it’s a production car, a flagship of flagships, with efficient and powerful hybrid technology.
The RLX, which is their biggest and most expensive sedan model, will gain a new powertrain called Sport Hybrid SH-AWD. It combines the 3.5-liter SOHC direct-injected i-VTEC V-6 engine with a 7-speed dual clutch  transmission and three high-output electric motors. The V6 alone makes 310 hp, while systemic output is an impressive 377 hp.

Full details will be revealed later on, but for now, the luxury maker is letting us know that the car could return 30 mpg combined, which is quite impressive. We think the all-wheel drive hybrid system is a good preview of what the NSX will offer and we should expect the ultimate RLX to cost about $60,000, right up there in Audi A6 territory.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
