This is it ladies and gentlemen, no more Acura NSX rumors - the carmaker has officially confirmed that it is working on a new generation of the supercar.
We’ll get to see the concept of vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show, alongside other two new goodies from the company, but so far the company hasn’t released any details on it. Previous media reports indicate that power will come from a mid-mounted V6 hybrid unit and will be sent to all four wheels via a double clutch gearbox. The pricing is expected to be reasonable, which means we might have a rival for the Nissan GT-R.

But this is just a part of Acura’s Detroit story. as the automotive producer will also use the event to introduce a compact luxury sedan. The vehicle will compete with cars such as the new Mercedes A-Class, using a platform based on that of the Civic and receiving the ILX name.

In addition to that, Acura will give us a prototype of the 2013 RDX crossover, which promises to offer a high level of fuel efficiency.
