If you remember our last blog post from 2013, we were showing you a rather spectacularly-colored Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series that the folks from Mercedes-AMG Performance Studio had completed just in time for the new year.
Featuring a then-nameless color which looked remarkably similar to the electricbeam neon yellow from the SLS AMG Electric Drive, the Black Series in question had been especially made for a customer and was in need of an official name.
Today, Mercedes-AMG announced that the color's name has been chosen out of thousands of fan submissions on their official Facebook page and sadly, our “Roadrunner on Acid was overlooked.
A fan called Aaron Tempo Temperton won the prize-less naming competition with his pretty awesome-sounding “AMG Afterglow” submission, which the AMG Social Media team chose as being the most fitting for the car's badass color.
We can't but agree with their choice and congratulate Aaron. Meanwhile, let's check more photos of the alien-like one-off SLS AMG Black Series.
