Acer Unveils 22” Limited-Edition Ferrari Monitor

The Taiwanese computer hardware manufacturer Acer has just unveiled a brand new monitor especially addressed to a few lucky Ferrari fans out there. To be more specific, the monitor is only available for a relatively small number of buyers as the entire F22-BID series was produced in only 500 units.

And in case you're wondering what's so special about this device, find out that it incorporates most high-end Acer technologies, including the CrystalBrite feature which provides brighter colors combined with a higher contrast, both meant to improve the quality of the screen.

Although you may expect to see a case made of F2008's body or tire-based rubber buttons of the famous Formula 1 car, we're sorry to disappoint you. The Ferrari brand is actually represented by a logo placed at the bottom of the monitor and is supposed to “attest to the quality of this flat panel, both inside and out,” as the Acer website states.

Getting to more technical stuff, the 22-inch monitor has a WSXGA 1680x1050 resolution combined with an advanced 16.7 colors screen. The 2ms response time should be enough for you to play the latest racing games without the risk of high latency or fuzzy effects.

There are three connectivity ports available, including a D-Sub 15-pin, a DVI-D 24-pin and a HDMI version 1. In terms of dimensions, the Acer Ferrari F22-BID has 511 x 416 x 203 mm combined with a weight of 4.8 kg.

Now, supposing you'd like to buy such a monitor, you'd better hurry because the 500-units limited series is expected to sell extremely fast. In case you're wondering about the price, that information is yet to be unveiled but it is believed that this unit will be available for an estimated $500.

'Quite expensive!' you might say, but if one thinks of himself as an addicted Ferrari fan, the monitor is basically up for grabs. In fact, watching Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa dominating the German Grand Prix on your Acer Ferrari F22-BID monitor sounds like a million dollar view already...
