BMW has changed the formula for its rear-wheel drive hatchback a lot with the new 1-Series that has just hit the ‘shelfs’ in Germany, and some tuners have already gotten to have a play with the 2012 model.

Getting to the point, AC Schnitzer has revealed a customization program, which includes new rims in their customary design, sized either 18 or 19 inches. There’s not a lot in it at this point, but more options are sure to pop up in coming months.

Cosmetic changes include stickers for the side sills and a stainless steel end piece for the exhaust that... we really don’t like that much.

Inside the new 1-Series, AC Schnitzer has added an illuminated gear knob, aluminum pedals and handbrake handle and some aluminum trim for the iDrive controller.

We’re not satisfied with just that, and our performance bone is hurting, so the tuner has stated that its working on a number of performance packages as well. Aero bits for the body and suspension upgrades are also on the way.
