In their own style, AC Schnitzer took the veils off their complete tuning kit for BMW’s new 4 Series Gran Coupe range and, unsurprisingly, they look the same as the ones for the Coupe model.
The German tuner took care of everything and now offers a complete package that include both technical bits like engine tunes and suspension parts and aerodynamic and design changers.
On the aerodynamic front, the kit includes a new front spoiler and rear diffuser (only for cars fitted with the M Sport package), carbon mirror covers, chromed front grille for the bumper and a protective film for the rear skirt.
Styling wise, the cabin can be decorated with an aluminum handbrake handle, a gear knob with digital gear display, illuminated leather gear knobs or an aluminum one. The same material was used to create pedal covers and a foot rest.
We’d also include the wheels in the styling department and there’s no surprise here, the German tuner offering the same options in this department it has for the better part of the decade.
For the 4 Series Gran Coupe they went over the entire engine line-up, both petrol and diesel choices. The US only gets the 428i and 435i models so we’ll start with them.
The 2-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine on the 428i was taken from 245 HP to 298 HP while the inline-6 on the 435i was upgraded by 44 HP from 306 HP to 350 HP.
At the same time, diesels were taken care of too, the 420d having a kit available that takes power output up to 218 HP, the 430d reaching 309 HP (51 hp more) and the 435d 360 HP, 47 extra compared to the stock numbers.
