AC Schnitzer is one of the oldest BMW tuners out there, making some of the best aftermarket parts for the Bavarian machines since 1967. All that experience makes a big difference when they launch a new product and we expect the same from their new Racing Evo Exhaust system that has just been launched.
According to AC Schnitzer, their new system offers improved heat and gas dissipation, allowing the engine to ‘breathe’ properly, therefore improving its performance.
Furthermore, with the new rear silencer, you get an improved pedal response and no drone whatsoever. Oh and, of course, the sound is drastically changed, this being the biggest improvement overall too, even in the lower RPM range.
The tailpipe trims are available standalone. Therefore, you don’t have to buy the rear silencers as well if you don’t want to. You can get a ‘modded’ look just by changing the trims that have a new design.
Of course, a new power upgrade kit would also be recommended, according to the Aachen-based tuner but that’s really just for the truly dedicated of you out there that want every bit of performance squeezed out of their cars.
Unfortunately, there’s no price tag on their website, at the moment, for the new exhaust and the standalone trims. However, don’t expect them to be cheap. The material alone, used for their manufacturing (V2A stainless steel), is quite expensive already. Wearing the ACS badge should take the price even further up.
