AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson will join forces with ex- Formula 1 and Indycar driver Roberto Moreno to drive at this weekend’s Silverstone Classic race. The duo will take part in Suday’s World Sports Cars Masters, personifying the event’s “Rocking and Racing” mantle, with the two set to share a GRD racer in the 50-minute race that starts at 3:50 PM.
The Silverstone Classic will also feature other rock start like Chris Rea and Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay, as well as ex-F1 drivers Ian Ashley and Arturio Mezario as well as Le Mans 24 Hours winners Jackie Oliver and Jan Lammers.
Let’s hear the official description of the event: “Ultimately the Classic is the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival with more than 1000 entries contesting 24 races featuring saloon, GT, single-seater and sportscars spanning the full spectrum of motor sport from the Thirties through the Eighties. A further 7,000 classic cars from more than 100 motor and car owners clubs will be on static display.”
