ABT-Sportsline's Audi S3 Sportback and Sedan Get Into Festive Mood With 365 HP

Audi’s compact performance duo – the 2021 S3 Sportback and Sedan – was unveiled back in August, when everyone was trying to get the best tan possible. Now, for the Christmas holidays, owners of the sporty models from Ingolstadt can treat the rides to a 365-hp present, courtesy of ABT-Sportsline.

Calling itself “the world’s largest automotive aftermarket and performance parts specialist for Audi and VW,” the Bavarian tuner has decided to honor its legacy and quickly revise the latest arrivals from the A3 family. We have seen instances of more power bestowed upon the series – such as an S3 Cabriolet with 400 PS on tap – but for the time being, 370 PS (365 hp) will have to suffice.

This way, Audi probably won’t give them an anger call to ask why they trampled on the RS3 territory, while S3 Sportback and Sedan owners will get to brag about the upgraded credentials. As such, the well-known 2.0-liter TFSI four-pot has been upgraded to 272 kW (370 PS / 365 hp) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft), a healthy boost of 60 PS (59 hp) and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

Although ABT-Sportsline is adept at keeping things subtle on the design level – just as Audi always intended – that doesn’t mean there are no styling touches at all. The aftermarket specialist brings to the table three new alloy wheel designs (19- and 20-inches) along with a host of exterior and interior enhancements.

Other interesting details include the addition of a “start-stop-switch-cap” with an integrated and (above all) illuminated ABT logo, while those who are patient enough will also get the option to add a stainless-steel exhaust system with four 102-mm (4-in) tailpipes from spring next year.

The company doesn’t give away pricing details on the kit, but we did notice it’s available for online configuration not only on the new-generation S3 Sportback and Sedan, but also on the previous models – including the Cabrio derivative.
