Abt Audi TT RS Does Sixty in 4.3s

Audi TT RS is already a high-performance model but the Abt Sportline engineers attempted to push the car beyond its limit and reach new performance milestones for this particular model. And they pretty much managed to do it as the resulting model is now developing 420 horsepower and reaches a maximum speed of 282 km/h (175 mph).

The only notable modifications on the aftermarket models are the charge air cooler and the optimization of the engine electronics. The results are, as we said, fairly impressive: the final output has been increased from its standard 250kW (340hp) to 309kW (420hp). The car jumps from naught to sixty in 4.3 seconds.

Audi TT RS was officially rolled out in 2009 and comes in two different body versions, coupe and roadster. When compared to the stock versions, the RS comes with several modifications in both the interior and the exterior. The front and rear got more pronounced air diffusers and stabilizers and the ride height was reduced by 10 mm. The main piece of interest however, is the newly developed inline 5-cylinder turbocharged engine that has a rated output of 340 hp. The TT RS Roadster can accelerate from naught to 62 mph in just 4.7 seconds.

The 2.5 TFSI engine develops, as previously mentioned, 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque between 1,600 and 5,300 rpm. The maximum speed is electronically limited to 155.3 mph (250 km/h). As for fuel consumption, the engine burns 13.4 liters of gas every 100 kilometers travelled in the city (17.6 mpg).
