ABT Audi AS5 Sportback Gets Up to 310 HP

Just as expected, the tuners at ABT Sportsline showed their skills on the new Audi S5 Sportback, "with a clear emphasis on the word Sport", remarks Christian Abt, the managing director responsible for the company’s technical issues. The ABT AS5 Sportback was therefore modified from both styling and performance points of view.

Thanks to some engine tweaks, the 3.0 TDI now produces 282 hp (from the standard 240 hp) with ABT Power, and even 310 hp and 610 Nm of torque with the ABT Power S package. That’s enough to propel the coupe from naught to sixty in 5.8 seconds.

The 2.0 TFSI version of the AS5 Sportback now has an output of 275 hp due to ABT POWER instead of the standard 180 hp. Furthermore, the tuners offer the ABT braking system with a 345 mm disk diameter, or the powerful ABT sports braking system, with the 380 mm disk diameter and eight piston callipers that provide optimal deceleration values.

As we said, the car also benefits from some new bodywork elements, such as a front apron, front grille, wing inserts and the rear spoiler, that increase the car's aerodynamic look. The typical 4-pipe end silencer integrates itself into the rear spoiler, while the ABT AR or BR wheels in sizes 18 to 20 inches round off the appearance of the AS5 Sportback.
