With less than three weeks until this year’s Geneva Auto Show will open its gates for the public, Abarth has revealed its line-up for the event. The display will be headed by the Abarth 695 “Tributo Ferrari”, showcased for the first time with Abu Dhabi Blue and Titanium Grey livery.

This is a numbered and limited special series that has been has been released on the market from July 2010, and has already notched up more than 1000 orders. More than half of the orders are from countries such as United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan.

The car is powered by a 1.4-liter Turbo T-Jet 16V engine, tweaked to provide a maximum power of 180 hp. The engine is mated to Fiat's MTA (Manual Transmission Automated) electromechanical gearbox with race-inspired paddle gearshift, optimized to reduce gearshift times.

Exterior highlights include Xenon headlights with dipped and main beam functions manufactured by Magneti Marelli Automotive Lighting, as well as 17-inch alloy wheels, with the design inspired by Ferrari wheels.

“Over the last two years, both brands have worked even more closely together, which has led to the development of the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari, an exclusive car that on the one hand allows Abarth to expand its range, thus entering the luxury sports car segment, and on the other offers Ferrari customers a small, lively car for all mobility requirements, including practical and urban mobility,” a company statement raeds.

autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
