Abarth, the Fiat in-house tuning division, is using the 2011 Bologna Motor Show to show a number of exciting new products under their “A World of performance since 1949″ banner.
We’ve already covered the 595 Turismo in another post, and now it’s time to focus on the other down-to-earth Abarth 500 special edition. We’re talking about the 595 Competizione, which is inspired by the 595 model that Karl Abarth presented in 1963 as an offshoot of the Fiat 500. It’s also powered by the full 160 hp that comes with the full Abarth power kit for the 1.4-liter turbo engine, while only coming with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
To set off the exterior, the Competizione is covered in a special Grigio Record exterior paint, and is festooned with 17-inch alloy wheels, yellow Brembo brake calipers and aluminum logos all round. Inside, you get a more luxurious approach, with two-ton leather and Alcantara bucket seats from Sabelt.
