Abarth 500C and Abarth Punto Evo UK Pricing Announced

The British division of Fiat's in-house tuning brand Abarth had just announced pricing on its two new models, the 500 C and Punto Evo, with the cars set to make their official UK public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend.

Taken separately, the Abarth 500C is priced at £17,500 OTR and comes with a host of both styling and performance enhancements, including a full range of options that give it a sportier look and feel.

Powering the Abarth 500C is a 140bhp 1.4 16v Turbo T-Jet 140 engine that propels the car to 62 mph from a standstill in 8.1 seconds and gives it a top speed of 127 mph (205 km/h). All this while delivering 43 mpg (5.5 l/100km) fuel economy on the combined cycle.

On the other hand, the Abarth Punto Evo costs £16,500 OTR, only it is powered by a 65bhp 1.4 16v MultiAir engine that propels the car from 0-62mph in just 7.9 seconds, and allows it to reach a top speed of 132 mph (213 km/h). This model returns more than 47 mpg (5 l/100km) fuel economy on the combined cycle.

“Joining together two winning formulas – the convertible roof of the Fiat 500 and the style and performance of the Abarth 500 – will make the new Abarth 500C an irresistible proposition for many new customers,” Ivan Gibson, head of Abarth UK, said in a release.

“And the new Abarth Punto Evo also takes forward a winning combination of its own – new technology and engineering coupled with great looks and versatility,”
added Gibson. “We are very much looking forward to presenting these new cars to customers through our 19-strong UK dealer network.”

Both the Abarth 500C and the Punto Evo will go on sale at nationwide dealerships on July 17.
